Bromic Affinity Smart-Heat Expansion Board

Expand the connectivity of your compatible Bromic heater controller with the Bromic Affinity Smart-Heat™ Expansion Board.

Designed for 1-channel and 2-channel Affinity Smart-Heat On/Off and Dimmer Controllers, the Expansion Board adds Ethernet connectivity for a stable wired network connection and 0–10V integration for compatible home automation and building management systems.

The board is designed to fit directly inside the compatible Affinity controller and secures in place with two screws. No separate power supply is required—the Expansion Board receives power directly from the controller.

For automation applications, the board accepts a generic 0–10V signal, allowing the connected heating system to be configured within a compatible home automation system or Building Management System (BMS).

Not Required for 5-Channel Controllers

The Expansion Board functionality is already built into Bromic's 5-channel Affinity controllers.

A separate BH3130070 Expansion Board is therefore not required for:

• Affinity On/Off 5-Channel Controller
• Affinity Dimmer 5-Channel Controller

Home Automation & BMS Integration

The Expansion Board provides a generic 0–10V input, allowing compatible Bromic heating controls to integrate with a Home Automation System or Building Management System.

This makes it particularly useful for sophisticated residential, hospitality, restaurant, and commercial installations where the outdoor heating system needs to operate as part of a larger automation platform.

Important App Control Information

When the Expansion Board is configured for BMS / home automation control using the included blue jumper cable, Bromic Heating app control is disabled.

The external automation or BMS system then controls the heater.

The Expansion Board is not required for Amazon Alexa or Google Home integration. Those integrations operate through the Bromic Heating app without the Expansion Board.

Installation

The Expansion Board is molded to fit directly inside a compatible Affinity controller and is secured with two screws.

It receives its power from the controller, so no independent power source is required.

A blue jumper cable is included for activating BMS functionality.

Professional installation and configuration are recommended, particularly when integrating the controller with a home automation or Building Management System.
