Improve heat direction and reduce overhead clearance requirements with the Bromic Platinum Gas Heat Deflector, designed specifically for Platinum Smart-Heat® Gas heaters.
Constructed with a premium dual-layer stainless-steel design, the heat deflector absorbs heat that would otherwise escape vertically above the heater and helps maximize directional heat transfer into your outdoor living space.
One of its most important installation benefits is reduced overhead clearance. When properly installed, Bromic states that the Platinum Gas Heat Deflector can reduce the required clearance between the top of the heater and the surface above it to just 14 inches.
Available in dedicated 300 Series and 500 Series sizes, the deflector should be matched to the corresponding Platinum Smart-Heat Gas heater.

Why Use a Heat Deflector?
Without a heat deflector, some of the heat generated by a gas heater naturally travels upward.
The Bromic Platinum Gas Heat Deflector is designed to absorb heat that would otherwise escape vertically, helping direct more usable warmth toward the intended heating area.
It can be particularly useful for installations involving:
- Covered patios
- Pergolas
- Outdoor kitchens
- Restaurants
- Hotels and hospitality spaces
- Residential outdoor living areas
- Installations with limited overhead clearance
14-Inch Top Clearance
The key installation benefit is the ability to significantly reduce the required space above the Platinum Gas heater.
With compatible Heat Deflector: Top clearance can be reduced to 14 inches.
Always follow the current Bromic installation manual when determining mounting position and clearances.
Compatibility
Compatible with:
- Bromic Platinum Smart-Heat® Gas 300 Series
- Bromic Platinum Smart-Heat® Gas 500 Series
Not intended for Tungsten Gas heaters. Bromic offers a separate Tungsten Gas Heat Deflector for that collection. Bromic lists the Platinum and Tungsten deflectors as distinct accessories.
