Fire Magic Echelon Diamond E790i A-Series 40-Inch Built-In Gas Grill with Analog Thermometer

The Fire Magic Echelon Diamond E790i A-Series Built-In Gas Grill combines premium outdoor cooking performance with traditional analog temperature monitoring. Available in Natural Gas or Liquid Propane, the E790i A-Series features Fire Magic's heavy-duty stainless steel construction, cast stainless steel burners, Diamond Sear cooking grids, and a sleek black-glass control panel designed for a high-end built-in outdoor kitchen.

Its generous 36" x 22" primary cooking surface provides 792 square inches of grilling area, while the 36" x 8" warming rack adds another 288 square inches. Fire Magic also equips the grill with an efficient infrared backburner for rotisserie cooking.

The A-Series configuration replaces the digital underglass display of the standard Echelon Diamond digital model with an analog thermometer, making it ideal for customers who prefer straightforward temperature monitoring while retaining the premium cooking system and construction of the Echelon platform. Fire Magic separately identifies this product as the E790i Built-In Grill Analog Thermometer, with the standard Natural Gas model listed as E790i-9EAN.

For additional cooking versatility, the E790i can be configured with a dedicated infrared sear burner in the left-hand main-burner position. Fire Magic's infrared burner occupies the space of one conventional burner and delivers up to 25,000 BTUs and approximately 1,000°F of infrared heat for high-temperature searing.

Customers can also choose Fire Magic's Magic View Window, which provides a clear view of food without repeatedly opening the hood, helping minimize heat loss. The window can be paired with either the standard burner configuration or the left-side infrared sear burner.

Configuration Details

Standard — 9EA
The standard A-Series model combines conventional cast stainless steel burners with Fire Magic's analog thermometer. Use E790i-9EAN for Natural Gas or E790i-9EAP for Liquid Propane. Fire Magic's live manufacturer page explicitly identifies E790i-9EAN as the base analog model.

Infrared Burner – Left Side — 9LA
This configuration substitutes Fire Magic's dedicated infrared searing system for the standard burner in the left-hand position. Use E790i-9LAN for Natural Gas or E790i-9LAP for Liquid Propane. The E790 platform's parts documentation confirms compatibility with Fire Magic's infrared burner assembly.

Magic View Window — 9EA-W
Retains the standard burner configuration while adding the Magic View Window. Use E790i-9EAN-W for Natural Gas or E790i-9EAP-W for Liquid Propane. Fire Magic directly lists E790i-9EAN-W as its analog model with Magic View Window.

Infrared Burner + Magic View Window — 9LA-W
Combines the left-side infrared sear burner with Fire Magic's Magic View Window. Use E790i-9LAN-W for Natural Gas or E790i-9LAP-W for Liquid Propane.

Important BTU Note

There is a current manufacturer-source discrepancy for E790 output. Fire Magic's live digital E790i page reports 96,000 BTUs for the main burners, while its current catalog lists 90,000 BTUs for the comparable 36" E790/A790 cooking platform. Because the sources conflict, I recommend not putting a main-burner BTU figure in the product title, meta description, or Shopify variant names until the rating for the exact A-Series production model is confirmed from its rating plate/current manual.

Size Naming Note

I recommend 40-Inch for the SEO title rather than 36-inch or 37-inch. Fire Magic's current specifications guide officially categorizes the E790i as a 40" Built-In Grill:

40-inch = current Fire Magic size class
36-inch = actual cooking-surface width
37-inch = required cutout width.
