Fire Magic Stainless Steel Wind Deflector for Echelon, Aurora & Choice Grills

The Fire Magic Stainless Steel Wind Deflector is designed to help compatible Fire Magic grills maintain proper performance when exposed to windy outdoor conditions. By reducing wind interference around the rear of the grill, the deflector helps support more consistent airflow and heat distribution while cooking. Fire Magic currently offers four sizes covering select Echelon, Aurora and Choice grill families. 

Designed for installation at the rear of the oven lid, the wind deflector is centered from left to right and secured to the hood using its integrated mounting brackets. Fire Magic's installation instructions specify that the deflector should be positioned so it clears the rotisserie brackets when the lid is opened and that it is intended as a permanent installation. 

Fire Magic specifically recommends a wind deflector where wind can interfere with airflow through the rear oven-lid vent. Manufacturer grill documentation warns that wind entering or crossing this area can negatively affect grill performance and potentially contribute to overheating. 

Choose the correct wind deflector according to the Fire Magic grill series and size. Current Fire Magic documentation specifies 23747-20 for E1060, 23745-20 for E/A790 and C650, 23732-20 for E/A660 and A/C540, and 23728-19 for A830 and A/C430 grills.

Important Model-Year Compatibility

Be careful not to combine older wind-deflector part numbers with these current models.

For example, Fire Magic parts retailers distinguish 23732-18 for pre-2020 E660/A660/A540/C540 grills from the newer 23732-20 used for 2020-and-newer versions. 

So the four variants above should be treated as the current Fire Magic wind-deflector lineup:

Installation Note

Fire Magic instructs installers to position the wind deflector at the rear of the oven lid and center it from left to right. Correct positioning is important so that the deflector clears the rotisserie brackets when the hood is opened. The mounting brackets then slide onto the oven lid until their tabs secure the deflector.
