Constructed as a flat-pan style insert, this series is built for outdoor durability and a streamlined finished look. HPC states that its flat pans are cut from 18-gauge 304 stainless steel, and that flat pans are cut 1/4 inch smaller than the listed size to help with installation fit.

This series uses electronic On/Off ignition. HPC’s On/Off manual states that the EI Series is for outdoor use only, must be installed and serviced by a qualified installer, and uses a wall switch for safety shutoff with optional remote control, automatic shutoff timer, or whole-house integration.

For 24VAC installations, HPC requires a Class II 24VAC, 4-amp, 100W transformer and notes that performance can be affected if the power supply is below 100W or wire size is too small.
