The Rasmussen Flaming Ember XTRA kit looks good once installed, and the painted black finish matches my fireplace nicely. The flame effect is decent, but I expected a bit more glow from the embers based on the product photos. Installation instructions could be clearer — I had to look up a video to figure out a couple of steps. Overall, it works fine, but I think there’s room for improvement.

"The Real Fyre Split Valley Oak log set looks very realistic once installed — the detailing on the logs and the flame pattern really mimic real wood. The heat output is solid and it warms up our living room quickly. My only reason for 4 stars is that the instructions were a bit tricky to follow during installation, but once it was set up, it worked perfectly. Definitely a great choice for anyone wanting a ventless gas option that still feels authentic."
